As 5-time winner of the Star Chain School at the Study Travel Awards, Embassy is now the proud holder of the Super Star Award, putting us in the Study Travel Hall of Fame! This much coveted award has been given to very few schools and is an amazing achievement for Embassy’s staff across the globe.
It’s an amazing start to our journey to make Embassy great again and we know our Partners will notice immediate service impact through our Agent Promise and Student Guarantee.
We’d like to thank our agents around the globe for believing in Embassy and our staff across our schools for their dedication and hard work.
After a break of over 2 years I am excited to be back at Embassy English and part of an award-winning team!
Having been with Embassy when we won the last 4 awards I know how important these are in recognition of the great staff we have around the centres who work hard to ensure students have a great experience, the feedback our students are giving and the trust our agents have in us as a team.
The excitement this Saturday around our table was palpable and the noise quite deafening when we won! With this 5th Award this is the first time that any chain school has achieved SuperStar status – something unique in our industry. And this is what is so great about coming back to Embassy – it is a unique place with great staff, passion and drive.
It is also great to see that Embassy English is evolving – there are great new initiatives around the business which are really exciting – the promises we are making to provide service excellence, the new My Embassy English Student Dashboard and the innovative Embassy onTrack tool to ensure students really are reaching their goals.

So, I have officially been back at Embassy for 16 days and already am totally excited about being part of this brilliant brand again! Having been part of Study Group since 1994, I knew returning might not feel the same and I would potentially be in danger of “harping back to the good old days”.
It’s true that Embassy English is now a very “different beast” but the reality is, the things that have always made the brand great are still there. Many of the fabulous people remain and the product is still outstanding with hardworking centres that make life in sales so much easier!
After 3 days with the new Director’s team in London I was buzzing. Time for the relaunch of the new face of Embassy at the London fairs. Proudly wearing the Embassy English T- shirt, it felt good to be back amongst a winning team. As we took our seats at the awards, we were hopeful but none of us could have expected what was to follow.- Embassy English swept the board, winning all of its categories and receiving a superstar industry award!
Can I take recognition for any of this success, after only being back in the job two weeks? No, of course not – this is for the staff who have worked so hard over the past few years. That said, as I listened to Johnny make his thank you speech, one thought did cross my mind – I definitely made the right career choice in deciding to return.
Winning the award for Junior Course for under 18s for 2015 at the ST Star Awards ceremony was so exciting and a great moment for Embassy Summer. On the night, the applause from around the hall and the Embassy team was wonderfully satisfying. I am proud to be part of a great team and to have the support of agents from around the world who voted for this award – thank you. A heartfelt thanks for all the hard work of our sales teams in both the UK & USA.
I would also like to express appreciation to the teams who manage and run the Embassy Summer centres. They are the ones at the coal face who work hard to deliver our programmes and give the students a great experience.
A fantastic end to the 2015 season and a great motivator for 2016.
Walking in to the Alphe Study Travel conference hall with my colleagues dressed in our new Embassy English T-shirt “uniforms” set the tone for me. Surrounded by hundreds of other well-dressed and more traditionally suited participants, many (if not all) eyes were on us! We walked with our heads high and it was clear that we felt proud to be part of the ‘new’ Embassy English.
Lots of embraces were received and given as we ran into former colleagues and agents who have been part of the “Embassy family” over the years.
It was a poignant moment to receive and share this award with the sales and operations teams at head office and at our centres in the UK and USA. All have worked tirelessly to ensure that our students come away with positive experiences to share with their families and friends. This award is the culmination of and testament to all our hard work this season. We still have a lot of work ahead of us – it doesn’t stop here, as we work to deliver excellent service and products to our agents and students.
