Jiyoo studied English at Embassy London for 3 months in 2015. When Jiyoo arrived from South Korea, she was an Intermediate English student. and at the end of her course she was in the Upper-Intermediate class.
Hello, I’m Jiyoo from South Korea. Before studying at Embassy London I was a worker and a student at the same time. At night I took an evening class at a business university, during the day I worked in accounting (but I wasn’t an accountant).
Thanks to the amazing teachers at Embassy London, I have improved my writing and speaking. Now I feel more confident and I’m studying a pre-sessional course at UCL preparing for my MSC. At the first time, it was hard to realise that my English was improving, but after a couple of months I realised it, but of course, I should still study more.
The best ways to improve my English were, listening to BBC4, writing some essays, and speaking with my friends.
It is difficult for me to choose one. However, if I have to choose just one, I want to tell you about ice-skating at Canary Wharf. It was a field trip and I had a great time with my class mates and teacher. It was really good because I like ice-skating and there were not many people. So I could enjoy it.
Whenever I feel depressed or exhausted while studying I think about the phrase, ‘practice makes perfect’.
It encourages me to keep going. It is a bit of a cliché, but it is really helpful.
Jennifer, Rebecca, and Michela. Thank you all.« Previous post
