Recently, Robert Morgan, Managing Director of Embassy English, traveled to Saudi Arabia with the EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) Sales Team. They met with key Agents and Saudi Ministry members to share updates on our My Embassy English Student Dashboard innovations and our Student Promise advancements. Our team was overwhelmed by the hospitality and graciousness of our Saudi partners, and we look forward to continued friendship and successful business relationships. This week, Robert Morgan shares his thoughts and observations about the visit as part of our Embassy Insider series.

Last week was one full of new experiences, pride in our organization, and great opportunities as I traveled to Saudi Arabia. It was my first visit to the Kingdom, and it certainly was an exciting one. Lisa James, our EMEA Sales Director and I met Noel Borg, our Middle East Sales Director and Ahemed Menyawi, our Sales Manager in Saudi Arabia. Noel and Ahmed had planned a full agenda of Agent and Ministry meetings starting as soon as I landed. Over the week we met with over 70 Agents.
Robert Morgan and Noel Borg were invited to a Mistraha (“chill out place”) with our Summer Camp agents Future Elite for a local Saudi dish known as Mendhi – here it was chicken cooked in an open earth oven with Rice.
The agents that we met with were incredibly gracious and genuinely appreciated that we were in the Kingdom to meet with them.

Everyone we met with commented on the high level of service that we are giving them – from our sales team on the ground to our IACs (International Admissions Centres) and our Embassy schools.
We have developed a reputation as the leader in English Language schools in the market, this was clearly seen in the high number of agents attending our Agent & Counsellor Training sessions, despite the floods and the Saudi weekend! (You never ever want to drive in Riyadh, and if you get caught in a flash flood in the middle of the desert, you better hope you have Ahmed driving you!)Robert Morgan waiting in line at King Abdulaziz Airport en-route to Jeddah. In background are Pilgrims heading off to Mecca for Umrah.
And don’t plan a trip to Jeddah during peak Pilgrimage time – the airports are a zoo! 2.5 hour delay leaving Riyadh and 2 hour delay leaving Jeddah!
The sponsors love our ability to track and report progress, attendance and activities – the comment was, “No other school can do this!”
With recent changes in the decreased amount and number of students receiving sponsorship, the market is rapidly changing – this can be a real opportunity for us to gain Market share
Our quality, service, and being one of the only providers to have a presence on the ground with Ahmed in the market will help us grow market share.
My Embassy English is a real differentiator and Agents are starting to get positive feed back from students. And Agents love the money back guarantee!
All in all it was a great trip and this is a market that has a tremendous partnership opportunity for us. We are currently creating a real buzz in the market, and we are very well positioned for continued success in this region.« Previous post
