My Embassy Life: Alessandro from Belgium at Embassy Brisbane

One of the greatest parts of being a student at Embassy English are the experiences. Students come to Embassy not only to improve their English language skills, but also to explore new parts of the world, to take part in diverse cultural activities, and to meet people from all over the globe. This week Alessandro Gaziano from Belgium tells us more about his experience at Embassy Brisbane as part of our series, My Embassy Life.

My Tips for Students Wanting to Learn English

Don’t be shy, just DO IT! If you need a hand or a little push in your back. I can do it for you. 🙂

English is the best way to travel all over the world to discover the pleasure of others traditions and cultures. Your life is too short to stay at the same place. Discovering others countries thanks to English, is useful and can make you more open-minded.

Don’t miss this opportunity. Moreover dealing with skills in English is also a big asset to finding a job.

My Favorite Activity in Embassy

Cycling around the city is very easy and safe thanks to the bike roads. Then if you need to save money, buying a bike is a great idea 😉

Playing soccer in the Botanic Gardens is a great way to practice what you learned during the day. Indeed, sometimes you have to explain some rules of game to others players in English. After playing until sunset next to the Brisbane River, you can share and talk with your new friends and learn about soccer in their culture.

My Favorite Place in Brisbane

The Library of course… No, I’m just pulling your leg 😉 The sunset at Kangaroo Point is remarkable and really bloody lovely! The best place to spend some time with your girlfriend 😉

Mount Coot-tha and its forest are also wonderful and it’s better if you go for a walk on foot! It’s not really easy but when you arrive at the top the view is still better!

The Botanic Gardens or Roma Parklands are peaceful places to chill out with friends and enjoy a barbie.

Special Note for Short Term Student

I stayed in Brisbane only 4 weeks but I had never done so many things in a such a short time! Indeed, there is so much to see in Brisbane. And you know what? You can do it after school!

Actually Embassy Brisbane has a well-organized monthly activity calendar. If you really would like to improve your English’ skills and discover Brisbane, Embassy Brisbane is what you need to help you! 🙂

When I arrived I really appreciated the welcome of all the staff members of Embassy.

I’ll never forget the smile of some people. 🙂 Don’t lose it!
