My Embassy Life: Ali from Saudi Arabia at Embassy London

One of the greatest parts of being a student at Embassy English are the experiences. Students come to Embassy not only to improve their English language skills, but also to explore new parts of the world, to take part in diverse cultural activities, and to meet people from all over the globe. This week Saudi student Ali tells us more about his experience at Embassy London as part of our series, My Embassy Life.

Embassy Life 2Tell us about yourself!

My name is Ali and I’m from Saudi Arabia. I finished my university career a year ago and I’m an Electrical Engineer. Now I’m looking forward to getting a great job in my country.

What course are you taking at Embassy?

I am taking an English language course for three months at Embassy London.

What was your level of English before you started Embassy?

My level was Pre-intermediate, now Intermediate and still in progress.

Why did you want to learn English abroad?

In my country we don’t speak English in general and specifically in public places, so I can’t practice the language easily. For this reason I came here.

What made you choose Embassy English?

Before I registered in Embassy English, I did some research and found that Embassy English is one of the best institutes in the world. It’s the best because of  the curriculum , teaching methods and activities etc.

 What’s the best thing about learning English with us?

The method of teaching  has a lot of fun and this method gives the student a lot of vitality and energy in addition to activities. There are a lot of activities that make you practice the language in an entertaining way.

 How has your English improved?

My language improved in a short time because of the follow-up and the practice of what I learn through lessons. Especially speaking and listening because I listen and speak with everyone everywhere.

 What has helped you to improve your English the most?

The most helpful thing in my language development has been the social programme activities because I can practice the language doing things that I like.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a sports man so in my spare time I do a lot of sports like playing football, table tennis and running.

What’s your favourite memory so far?

All the friends here. I hope we will keep in contact in future.

What are your top 3 favourite places in this city?

There are lots of very beautiful places here. The most beautiful for me are Regent park, Hyde park and Thorpe park.

 How do you think speaking English will help you in the future?

English is an international language, if I can learn it and speak it that will help me in everything. The most important thing for me is for it to help me in my career.

Would you recommend Embassy English to other students?

Of course I will. In Embassy English you will shorten a lot of time to reach your goal in the language.

What do you plan to do after your English course?

As I wrote earlier, I looking forward to finding a job. But now the situation will be easier for me because my language has improved.

Who would you most like to say thank you to and why?

I want to say thank you to everyone here staff, students and friends. I learned the language quickly because of you thanks from the depths.
