One of the greatest parts of being a student at Embassy English are the experiences. Students come to Embassy not only to improve their English language skills, but also to explore new parts of the world, to take part in diverse cultural activities, and to meet people from all over the globe. This week Colombian student Daniel Zuluaga Becerra tells us more about his experience at Embassy English as part of our series, My Embassy Life.
Hi, I’m Daniel from Medellin, Colombia and actually I’m studying to be a vet at 5th semester at university so it’s like the middle of my career. I decided to come to England to study English which will help me in my future and prepare me for getting a job.
And more importantly because I wanted to have a rest from the studies and learn something new, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
I thing that’s a good idea to learn not only a new language but also about new cultures, places and get out of the monotony.
A lot of people told me about “Embassy” and when I looked for it, it was a good first impression. But now I can say it’s better than I’ve imagined.
The best think is people who work here; they are lovely and so kind. Really awesome!
Every day I learn something new, and share time with people who don’t speak my same language, I think that’s the best way to improve. I have made great friends from all over the world here in Oxford.
I find it difficult to choose one thing I like about Embassy English as everything is amazing here.
It’s a big advantage in life, that allows you to learn and know thousands of things that you can’t imagine that you could do or know.
I would highly recommend Embassy English, and feel if you want the best, come here.
My future plan is that once I finish my studies in Colombia and I hope to come back and do a masters degree.
In my spare time I enjoy doing exercise and I love playing football.
At school Ravi is the best because she makes us feel at home, she is our mom here. The teachers have all been very helpful and helped in my success in Oxford.
My favourite word in English is LOVE and I do say this lots to everyone in school
My favourite places in Oxford are the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, University Parks and all the small streets around Oxford, as you don’t know what you’re going to see or find.
I love the local fish and chips in Oxford!
