One of the greatest parts of being a student at Embassy English are the experiences. Students come to Embassy not only to improve their English language skills, but also to explore new parts of the world, to take part in diverse cultural activities, and to meet people. This week German student Inga tells us more about her experience at Embassy Gold Coast as part of our series, My Embassy Life.
Hello! I’m from Munich in Germany and I’m going to Embassy Gold Coast to improve my English until December.
When I arrived in Australia, I was scared of my upcoming stay. As soon as I met my host family, all my negative thoughts were gone and they made a very nice and kind impression on me.
The last month has been awesome. I get along with my host mother and her daughter, who’s a thirteen year old student, very well. I’ve been trying to learn surfing until now and it’s very difficult, but I won’t give up.
I’ve met so many funny and friendly people at Embassy English from all over the world. There is so much stuff to do on the Gold Coast and you can collect memories for a lifetime.
One thing you shouldn’t miss doing in Australia is going to The Great Barrier Reef and trying Scuba diving! I’ve been there one time and it was definitely one of the most beautifully things I’ve ever seen in my life.
You can enjoy a lot of things in Australia, besides going to the beach and enjoying the sun, you can have fun on a night out and discover the nightlife of Surfers Paradise.
